Patta” the regeneration of life itself !
The landscape which is green and thriving full of natural ecology, chirping birds, butterflies and bees... that is the beauty of nature, which each one of us likes to be in, that helps us to find peace within !
During this last year many people were working from home, travel came to a standstill. We were not meeting Our loved ones, no kitty party, no outings, no resort travels, so it was but natural for businesses like Samprada to be greatly affected. Many of us shut down businesses, but with Gods grace Samprada continued on its journey and discovered a new way of designing things, holding on to our belief that fashion has to be ageless, timeless, Sustainable and Circular.
Pandemic has affected everybody and change the face of many businesses during these years, we at Samprada consciously made a choice, of not producing and creating more fashion waste, we had ordered fabric in the pre-pandemic time which we held onto, we also continued to produce which was already in the making last year, but since then, we chose to first sell the stocks which we were holding.
Thinking and overthinking through this period, has made me realize that sustainability has been the core belief in our Business, I started practicing Eco Print as an artist and as a textile designer, this technique was like a Pandora’s box to me and I loved creating beautiful prints with natural plant leaves using, only natural dyes and natural processes at home. This new range “ Patta”- the regeneration of life itself ! is all about Eco Print and amalgamation of traditional Bagru hand block printing technique. Samprada is Craftmark certified for Bagru hand-blocks . Eco Prints are created by Anuradha, to produce this beautiful collection..... totally and completely based on sustainable and circular fashion.
Creating work which is responsible towards our environment is our responsibility both as a maker and as a user of the product. I hope the current collection which is a small range of a dress, shirt, shrug, few scarves and a top will be appreciated by our Samprada patrons. This is a collection which is completely based on principles of circular fashion which means every product, every piece used in making of these apparels are recyclable, is biodegradable and do not add to the environment pollution and helps in the regeneration of our environment.
The plant leaves used for making the Eco Prints are from Anuradha's garden, the process done with her hands. She is proud to present this to you and encourages each person to come and join her in workshops, learn this technique and find the joy of doing things by yourself, up cycling and redesigning your own wardrobes !
